latuda was just a random selection. I don't know its EPS profile.
You could try lowering the dose. What else are you taking? Some mood stabilizers can make EPS worse. I got bad EPS from Abillify+Depakote, but I don't get any EPS from Abilify+Trileptal+Lamictal. Weird, huh?
Propranolol, benztropine...I wanna say amantadine is used now, too. But that's just suppressing it.
What other AP/AAP drugs have you tried? My problem with this situation is that you're female, have a mood disorder, and you're experiencing pronounced EPS. If you suppress the symptoms, it could turn into full fledged TD over time, which is hard to notice until its too late because the neuroleptics themselves mask early signs of TD.
Have you ever tried Zyprexa or seroquel? I wanna say those 2 have lower EPS and TD rates than most other atypicals. Abilify...is hit or miss. I tolerate it better than anything else, some people do better on D2 blockers.
Weight gain with zyprexa can be mitigated with metformin, which has a fairly benign profile. Some smaller studies have used high doses of potent antioxidants, such as alpha lipoic acid, to good effect.
