Do anti epileptics work on anxiety as well as stabilize mood? I hope that's not too silly of a question.

I recently began trileptal and I am sooo much calmer. Now that could be a mood effect, and my bipolar does often express as anxiety and agitation, so that might be it there.

But, does it have uses treating anxiety apart from bipolar?
