sigh... so i went to fill up my weekly pill container yesterday and noticed something about my amitriptyline instructions. To be honest, i must have REALLY been out of it as the first few days i was taking it from the bottle and hadn't put it in my pill container yet and Never read it to say this. anyway, i have been taking (1) 25mg pill every evening. However, on the bottle it actually says "Take 1 to 2 tablets by mouth at bedtime"
so i've heard of this with sleep or anxiety meds, but i'm not quite sure i understand it with an AD? why 1-2
i don't know when i'll see pdoc next and i dont know that the pharmacist can explain...So i'm wondering if i should just start taking 2 tabs since 50mg is the min dosage for this med anyway?
**is it too soon to go up? i've been on this only since march 21st.*my guess as to why he wrote it this way is so that i can start slow, but if one wasnt enough or if 50mg was too much...but had i read the instructions within that first week even i could have asked pdoc as i spoke on the phone with him twice.
anyway, any input appreciated.
