What is the hardware to be used (implant)? What are the parameters of charge application? What are the anatomical locations to be chosen? Are we looking at stimulation or disruption? Show me that you have a clue as to what, when, and where. 5 years? Currently, clinical researchers can't even agree on where to place the electrodes when treating depression. (There are at least three). DBS doesn't seem to work very well according to the most recent trials.

The article you cited is a brief summary article, not a scientific treatise. There is simply not enough information for me to follow this noble idea closely with the hope that it will materialize any time soon.
