There is a very famous book entitled "Manic Depressive Illness" written by Goodwin and Jamison. They understand such illnesses as being psychobiological. It is a bit complicated, but not too difficult to understand. The nomenclature is that of science and medicine. It is not mine. It is not a matter of opinion.
