Pro: Brintellix can improve cognitive function and clear up brain-fog independent of its antidepressant effects.
Con: Brintellix hasn't been out very long. Long-term safety has not yet been established.
I would like to try Brintellix. Unfortunately, I would have to stop taking Parnate and agonize for 3 weeks during the washout period. It would then take another few months to re-establish Parnate should Brintellix not work. It is a difficult decision to make. I don't mind trying Brintellix despite its not having decades of demonstrated safety. I am willing to be among those who try it now rather than later.
