Brintellix has some serotonergic properties in common with various atypical antipsychotics. However, Brintellix does NOT block dopamine receptors, and is thus not a neuroleptic antipsychotic.

Weird is not necessarily a bad thing at the beginning of treatment. It could mean that something important is happening that will ultimately yield a therapeutic effect. This has been my experience. I would not recommend discontinuing Brintellix based on your short description.

What dosage are you taking now, and what is the tentative target dosage?
