Trial and error. The amino acid l-leucine can suppress the production of serotonin. But it can also suppress the production of dopamine. Quinine inhibits the conversion of tryptophan into serotonin. But quinine, at high doses, can have some nasty side effects.You asked if you should quit your SSRIs cold turkey. Absolutely not. If you decide to quit them, do a gradual taper.
