I have taken 80 mg for 20 years, and it is not just for OCD. There is no research on 80 mg, except for OCD, but that doesn't mean that hundreds of thousands of people don't take 80 mg for depression. If you can tolerate, and you need it, find an MD that will prescribe it. I once had an MD who said it was just a number, everyone's different, and he had patients over 100 mg. On the other hand, the most used augmentation is bupropion, and that works for some w/out having to increase the fluoxetine. It is among the most studied drugs in world history and if there was a problem with it at 80 mg., we'd know it. If your MD is not a psychopharmacologist, you need to find one. Don
