Hi Mogger.
I just had a conversation with my doctor. She doesn't seem to feel as strongly against rTMS as I thought she did. She just didn't find the literature persuasive enough to recommend it as the next thing to try. Still, yours is not the only success story to appear here on Psycho-Babble. My doctor did have one patient who tried rTMS. The patient complained of headaches, but more significantly, she became somewhat manic. I see this as a good sign. For me, treatment-induced mania is easily brought under control with Zyprexa or Depakote. Of course, the Abilify and lithium that I currently take might prevent this reaction and leave me being euthymic. I don't have the most optimistic of outlooks, but neither do I feel completely defeated.
