Why are so many medications fattening???

Hi guys,
Effective medication for depression / anxiety always seem to have a fattening effect on me. Why is that?
For example:
- Mirtazapine (Remeron) - the best!! - but worst weight gain ever!!
- Elavil (amitryptiline),
- Trazodone,
- Seroquel (quetiapine)
