Jereon in my experience Doxy is far easier to handle.

As a matter of fact, I couldn't handle Mino at all! In 3 different attempts! But Doxy I got up to 200mg in a few days, no issues, and eventually up to 400mg (where it begins to get into the brain) as well. No prob.

I couldn't stay on Mino longer than a few days. But I took Doxy for many months.

The end results of either of them are the same....as infection populations shrink, so do psych symptoms. For me though....that was 3 years. Some MDs don't think it is the infection reduction however, but instead some think it is a resetting or recalibrating of the immune with long term ABX, somehow, and that ties into the mood center. For sure it does, I know that first hand big time. Either way, whether we know exactly how it works or not, ABX long term seems to improve many things from MS to CFS to Lyme to All Psychiatric.

Keep in mind....this is a long term target....this isn't next month's wishes. 3 years for me...

I don't know how or why you are getting Doxy, but hopefully that does not get stopped. It is a rather benign med overall, teenagers take it for months for acne. Everything has risks but Doxy looks good to me in anything psychiatric.
