> I've been on Klonopin for a long time which has been about 80% helpful. Recently looked into more ideas, and Magnesium has been a huge benefit. Because it has been so great, I've looked at other options. So far the ones that seem most promising are Taurine, Valerian Root and L-Theanine. I don't want to try all 3 at once. One at a time also lets me determine what helps.

>Hi. There is a book out co-written by Nutritionist Patrick Holford. In that book they show exactly how to come off of benzodiazepines by using Valerian & Kava Kava. The book is not The Feel Good Factor but another similarly titled book. I'll try and find it.
Others are:
Picamilon
5-HTP
Calcium + Zinc (balanced with your magnesium)
B6 and the whole B-complex generally
Rhodiola
The nootropic Aniracetam. (a recent discovery of mine. Not know what a 'nootropic' is? Wiki it).
Hops (unless you are depressed!)
Ginseng (I find Siberian Ginseng best as its more balancing. Korean can lift mood but can cause anxiety. American Ginseng will chill you out but may make you drowsy).
St.John's WortThere are literally hundreds of otc supplement to choose from for anxiety & mood. Those are what come to mind right this minute. Many good alternatives out there. Only one problem may arise. And that is spending lots of money trying to find one which works! And I will try and find that book title.
Best of luckEscapee
