Should 5htp be taken with or without food?

So ive decided to take 5htp and Tyrosine while im waiting for my pdoc appointment. its pretty clear Tyrosine should be taken without food. But ive readb conflicting info on 5htp. some info said take it with food. some said without. is anyone on Babble able to help me clear this up?
