in my experience, nothing can replace the benefits of getting enough sunlight has on mood. im sure many of us have heard just being in the sun increases the bodys Vitamin D. but i have been taking a Vitamin D3/Magnesium/Calcium/Zinc supplement supplement, and its listed as having 100% of the daily recommended ammount of D3. while i dont think ive noticed much benefit since ive been taking it for about two months, i still make sure i get direct sunlight everyday for at least 20 minutes. afterwards i notice a lightening of my mood. it works best when i go for a walk on a sunny day.

i dont know if this is true or not, but i remember reading that having a window between you and sunlight doesnt provide the the Vitamin D benefits that direct sunlight provides. so driving in your car with sun shining through the windows on a sunny day doesnt count.
