Hello!
B2 would have had the short-acting rapid-release Zyprexa injection. It is designed to start working after 20 minutes. The effects are strong for several hours and it lasts for about one day.

The long acting Zyprexa injection (given every 2 or 4 weeks) is a different product. It is not for use in an emergency; it is a replacement for the tablets in people who cannot reliably take tablets. There are some safety issues with the long-acting injection and it has no place in treating people who can consistently take the tablets. The main role for this injection is in treating schizophrenia in those who are too unwell to be relied upon to take their meds.
