Am thinking of going back on Parnate as the only thing that really help me borderline function are amphetamine and benzos; but as Parkinson's runs in my family, I am uneasy taking Adderall without selegiline (the combo isn't somewhere I can seem to get my doctor to go) as my source of amphetamine-like therapeutic effect. I already have disturbing movement symptoms and they are hard to get taken seriously.
Am thus considering tranylcypromine (Parnate) to go with memantine (Ebixa, Namenda), but am still vegan and must replace affordable staples while still allowing me to eat when I am functioning poorly without making dangerous mistakes. I use vegetable bouillon cubes constantly and the nearest thing I can think of is maybe dehydrated vegetables, onion powder, salt, and MSG on hand to provide readymade umami flavour.
If it is one thing I've noted about buying food or supplements is that nothing is pure. The way MSG is produced is concerning. Even the fact that I take so many supplements probably produced by microbes is concerning.
It seems to be only mg amounts of tyramine that are enough to cause a hypertensive reaction. Is tyramine found in food additives (e.g. MSG) or supplements (e.g. acetyl-l-carnitine, lipoate, b vitamins...)
