Buspar and painful leg cramps

Posted by Sac on November 11, 2014, at 5:47:20

I've been on Buspar for about 5 months. The highest dosage I could get to without daytime drowsiness was 15 mg. Currently, I'm only on 5mg at night. My pdoc recommended buspar to add to my lithium and prozac to help with lingering depression and concentration problems. The strange symptoms I've had since beginning buspar was that my period stopped for two months which leads me to believe it affects hormones, but which ones? The most troubling side effect I have is muscle pain and cramping in my legs. It usually wakes me up at night and during the day I have a stiffness in my legs like I have worked out too hard at the gym. Advice or experience anyone? I feel like dumping this medication. Thanks.
