So, when I told my current doctor

Posted by Phil on September 20, 2014, at 20:54:09

So, when I told my current doctor that 30 years ago I knew exactly when my first AD, Amitriptyline, kicked in.

He looked at me.

I was driving in San Antonio and suddenly all of the trees were brilliant green. I said, I had a POS car with AM only so I listened to Pop. But the Janet Jackson song, When I Think Of You, had these crazy horns and synthesizers that just blew my mind.

He looks at me.

Doc, I said, I finally knew how the other half lived.

Phil? Yup. I think you were manic.

Oh. I think you are right. Damn. It took 30 years and several doctors hearing that story before one actually caught it.
