I didn't mean to scare you, lol. I'm not anti-meds, just...too many people are on too many meds, you know? Right.
Anyway, "hypofrontality" just means that high dose SRI drugs can dampen frontal lobe activity to the point that its sort of like a lobotomy. Then again...tranquilizers often do the same thing. Oh well.
What SSRI are you on? I read in this book on psychotic depression that Luvox is apparently "safer" than other ADs. Something about a lower risk of causing cancer (?). But that's just one author. Luvox is often used for OCD and may help psychotic depression more than other SRI drugs.
The flattening can be countered. Wellbutrin, stimulants (if appropriate...). I seem to recall reading about adding Remeron and that helping, but I dunno. I would imagine some supplements might help, but I'm no expert in all that.
