Benzodiazapines don't do much for the treatment of OCD other than reduce the anxiety over bad thoughts. The only benzodiazapine that has been shown to effectively treat OCD is clonazepam. I would recommend a switch to 1 mg of clonazepam.

I don't think you'll have that great a risk of dependency and tolerance with a 1 mg dose of Ativan.
