Its probably hard to generalize

For one thing I live in the UK

Anyway I had an overall positive experience of living in a "Therapeutic Community"
The social contact & tolerant (in some ways) atmosphere really helped me
I found the Staff Team very overbearing though

I would personally be very selective about what Home you consider moving to & try & get a feel for the place
