Man, that sounds really bad. When I take just low doses of atypical APs, my tongue gets this numb feeling. In the old early days of my mental illness, I had no clue whatsoever what that was or even that it was bad at all. Later on, it was explained to me thats a bad side effect.
If it were me, I'd be more concerned about my psychiatrist/patient relationship than the TD. Many psychiatrists will become very defensive and go into this sort of denial phase acting towards you when things like you describe happen.
It does sound like some sort of movement disorder, yeah possibly TD. I dont have TD, but Ive heard once you get it, you are SOL and f*cked. The only "treatment" for TD Ive heard is clozapine and ECT. Ive read ECT can treat TD, especially if its used early on in the TD. I dont know if thats really true and how effective ECT is for TD.
This sort of thing is also why Im real leary about using APs for people who dont have schizophrenia.
