The white blood cell test that was done most recently was part of a "CBC, No Differential/Platelet" test. I had 11.9 x10E3/uL, with a reference interval of 4.0 - 10.5. There was no specification as to which white blood cells were elevated.
When I was in the ER most recently, my white blood cell count also came back high, and they did a number of extra tests after that, only to conclude that they couldn't find any sign of infection. I've also gone in to a regular doctor's office, only to be turned away because all of my symptoms seemed to be of a psychiatric nature. I'll try to bring this up at my upcoming psychiatrist's appointment, but I'm not confident that he'll respond appropriately.
