Stimulants do help with concentration and make people more sociable, which can in turn help anxiety (I seem to recall reading that they help social phobia...something about dopamine systems...I dunno).
If you kept the Lyrica, you'd have a kind of "goofball," a stimulant+sedative mix. They made those from the 40s-70s, and many people found them quite effective for anxiety, depression, weight loss, etc. Think "Dexamyl" (barbiturate+dexedrine), Eskatrol (low dose neuroleptic+dexedrine), ThoraDex (thorazine at a low dose w/ Dexedrine), etc.
I think its worth a shot, especially since you suspect ADD/ADHD. The Lyrica could help anxiety and take the edge off the stimulant. An antidepressant of some persuasion, or maybe a low dose neuroleptic of some sort, could help smooth things out as well.
Someone I know takes Seroquel XT at night and Adderall XR in the morning. Works well for...well, just about everything for her.
