If its anything like Abilify...maybe ?

The D2 partial agonism thing is so weird. There are lots of case reports of Abilify-induced TD. They seem milder than a lot of other forms of TD, and a few of the cases I've read resolved with cessation of treatment or a switch to another atypical.

I did read that a medical school (I wanna say Baylor or something) with a TD clinic has seem an unusual number of Abilify patients, possibly because its being pushed for non-psychotic issues so much. Scary.

I read in one paper that combining Abilify with reuptake inhibitors may increase the risk. Blood levels of the neuroleptic go up with antidepressants, plus there's no telling what goes on in the brain...

...and adding stimulants to a neuroleptic also increases the risk :-( This is bad news for people (apparently, a lot of people) taking an atypical at whatever dose with a stimulant. Scary stuff.

Anyway, didn't mean to load you down with info...

my best guess is that Seroquel remains the least likely to cause TD on the market. On the other hand, its not as effective as some other options and of course can cause dense sedation and weight gain :-(
