yeah, ive heard people say its quite effective. Even at the aggregate level, its supposed to be more effective than Risperidone, and therefore more effective than many of the newer (and I would imagine, older as well) AP drugs available.
I'd like to be on it so I can have something to help me sleep, control agitation better, maybe keep bits of pieces of semi-psychosis at bay, but...wow...the weight gain issue looms large, you know? Also, an ex-shrink--she was completely anti-zyprexa, I'm guessing she feared lawsuits--said it can cause metabolic problems absent any weight gain. Is that true, you think? She had a really cool Abilify clipboard and pen, so I'm thinking a drug rep got a hold of her, lol.
Anyway...best of luck to you. Like I wrote to zyprexa, some people say that those zyprexa dissolving tablets cause fewer problems than the normal pills. Also, they say that you can do with lower doses for some reason, which I think sounds odd. Just a thought...
