Hi all
I've been on nardil the last 10 weeks to some degree of success, with periodic hypo manias at every dose increase. Now I am up to 90 and it had lost its effectiveness and I realized b6 might be an issue. I was supplementing with a third of a multivitamin which was about 16mg b6 but also was doing a fairly intense ketogenic diet at the same time (mostly fat and some protein and aminos with one day a week of carbs). I decided to try taking a high quality b compels yesterday, and lo and behold, within 24 hours my mood substantially improved...HOWEVER... I am now getting "brain zaps"... The Effexor withdrawal type, and a feeling of pressure behind my eyes. I'm well acquainted with these but curious as to why the b6 would be causing this. I intend on taking only one b compels daily which is 25mg b6 plus my multi which means 40mg b6, I'm 215lb male....don't think this would be "too much" and cause nardil to go inactive, right? What other reason would I suddenly be getting these...at the same time I'm seeing mood improvement?
