In reply to dopamine agonists to augment antidepressants, posted by Snell on May 9, 2014, at 7:33:39
i have not been on any you mention (but not for lack of trying). however the one med that has worked for me over the years for my mood is the ADHD drug Adderall. i have tried many other adhd drugs and NONE give me the mood lift (generic) adderall does. i noticed that all the others i've tried are actually DRI's NOT DRA's, last summer i had to try others as i was not able to find the one that worked for me any longer, i tried two other DRI's with HORRIBLE results, realized the difference and asked for a different DRA which was desoxyn but it was too low dose.
i ended up finding my old generic adderall after blood sweat and tears searching. Luckily.i truly wish we could get some novel agents here that worked more on dopamine agonists (and NE) than on serotonin.
