i live in dallas/fortworth area in texas, i went terrell state hospital because i heard it was amount the imfamous of the mentally ill...i took a trip there, and i was pulled in because i was walking on property and they forced a psych exam on because they thought i was a stranger on state property....they where BULLIES, omgod i sat there and had to say the most correct thing that i was not mentally ill, and get locked up.
The diffrence between terrell and the JPS one i stayed in fort worth, the JPS was much more less prison like, the state hospital looked like a prison of doors and metal and concrete...nothing at all wanting to be in....it's was a psych prison....thats the best way to describe it...
see that was what i was wondering about that, because the state hospitals are vary cold, they look really like psych prison's, metal concrete corridors and rooms...it's scary....treatment there have no idea how they do things....there was alot of empty padded rooms when i was taken in for psych exam
the hopsitals are diffrent because state hopitals are more for long term patients with no hope improvement....the JPS one i stayed at the doctors where ready to help me get discharged, they put me on meds, and observed, and finally i got out....
state hospitals are the things seen in movies...coo coo nest, lots of dark movies of criminals in psych places
