I have difficulty when it comes to discussing symptoms because, by and large, I define my current state as feeling unlike myself or off. I suppose a loss of interest, a sense of powerlessness over my own actions and fate, difficulty concentrating, prevailing sadness and anxiety. I haven't yet tried lamotrigine but I would be interested in doing so.
This opens a more general question for me. After having found a medication that works, or two (bupropion and modafinil in this case), is it worth revisiting medications that previously hadn't seemed to work? Desvenlafaxine was unsuccessful for me, as was citalopram, as recently as two and a half years ago. Would they be worth trying again in combination with my current regime? Modafinil, for example, had an awful effect in conjunction with nortriptyline but amplifies some of the sense of well-being that bupropion brings.
