Maybe... You need some time to come to grips with your not being a zombie anymore. You need time to adjust / come to terms with your new, reactive, self.
Something like that happened for me when I quit smoking. It does get easier with time... But things were fairly rocky for a year or so, honestly. I'm not sure I can blame smoking, entirely, but... That was a huge part of it in retrospect.
