> how fast did you feel kick in from the minocycline
Three days. It was impressive. However, I needed to titrate the dose up slowly to get to 100 mg. So it was a month or two before I was comfortably tolerating a useful dose and got consistent benefit. I am, however, extraordinarily sensitive to medications. So other people might not need to titrate up like I did. I think little is known about the use of minocycline in practice, so it's going to be trial and error.
I am not 100% immune to relapse even with the minocycline. However, over the course of a year, the random nature of my illness has been greatly reduced - I don't seem to get relapses that occur out of the blue now. So far I'm very pleased.
Are your doctors interested in trying this for you?
