What I had in mind was some people near death.
It's all *very* difficult, but they seem to have let go or learned dispassionate disinterested observation.
Perhaps they no longer feel they have a stake in things.
Calling things by their correct names helps. Not standing between yourself and the observed. (Not standing in your own light? Is that different?)
For me sharing this, it was wonderful, especially given what it was.
And I wonder if the same kind of outlook can be applied to depression and having to live without hope, because these people had none. In fairness I should say they didn't want any.
