effexor

I am suppose to go on Effexor in a few days. After reading reviews about weight gain and withdrawal I am debating as to even start it.
Has anyone had success on this, being treated for MDD. I am exhausted from all the med trails the last being Parnate.
So let's here the good, bad and the ugly from all of you. This is my go to site for reliable info!
