The time of day that lexapro is taken can indeed make a big difference. The problem is, no one knows what your best time of day is for lex, not even you, so you will have to experiment to find out. It's not somebody's else's best time, because that was them, not you.
Do a week at 9am.
Do another week at noon.
Do another week at 3pm.
And so on...hopefully in these trials you will find a favorite time.
The way you dose it can make a difference too. Some people will do better with twice a day or up to four times a day dosing, of smaller doses to equal the current total dose, they'll do better that way than with a single daily dose. Some might argue it shouldn't matter because the half life is 24 hours. Well, that's true, but doesn't change a thing, the way it is dosed does make a difference and sometimes a huge difference and we don't know why just that it is so.
