I've been friends with this guy for 33 years. We met working at a stereo store back when stereo was for real.
So, he was there when I was first dx with depression 30 years ago then bipolar ten(?) years ago.
He knows I take a lot of meds and I've told him years ago that bipolar=meds. Some get by without meds, more power to them.
Since he said that I've added two more meds for physical problems, one is for life.
I told my friend that I wasn't sure that hopping off my meds was a good protocol to follow. He stood his ground.
This cat is smart! He said I noticed you cycling...I said whoa. Send everything you remember to me.
Very detailed and for one depression he put me on an 8-9 out of 10 scale. I don't even recall being that depressed.
But I should have asked him what he might think that cycling would do without anything to slow it down.
This guy is like a brother and is saying what he thinks is in my best interest. For all I know, he may be right.
aside: I can be talking to him about anything then ask, R what was the political climate and structure like in Russia in 1763? He could give you an hour off the top of his head.
one more...we have seen a lot of concerts together. We were talking and I said one band I wished I had seen was Alice Cooper.
He said, you did.
I did what?
You saw Alice Cooper.
When?
Two weeks after Tull and a month before Fleetwood Mac.
Did I have a good time?
Yeah.
Good.
