Hi,
I've been on Nardil for 3 weeks now (first week on 45mg, last 2 weeks so far 60mg) and today I noticed since I finally got some ok sleep last night (thanks melatonin!), I'm feeling really calm and pretty happy, actually at some points in the car driving I was giggling to myself for no real reason lol.. and earlier today I had some coffee, it seemed to hit me much stronger than usual and I was feeling extremely energized/take-charge, which I think may have been a combination of the caffeine lifting away this terrible fatigue I've had from Nardil in combination with the fact caffeine is supposedly stronger on an MAOI.
So, I have a few questions:
1. , Is coffee okay to drink while on Nardil? It made me feel pretty great and worked well for the fatigue side-effect, but I read something about coffee "maybe" having a bad effect on the therapeutic efficacy of Nardil's dopaminergic aspect.... if it's a bad idea, then what other options do I have for battling the damn fatigue?
2. , Is the borderline-euphoric calm state I'm experiencing just a short lived hypomania that will probably fade, or the therapeutic effect of Nardil finally kicking in? I've only been on Nardil for a total of 3 and 1/2 weeks, with the past 2 weeks being 60mg.. not sure if that's enough time to feel it working or just the hypomania people sometimes mention so thought I'd ask.
3. , If I drink alcohol (Vodka) at this stage of my Nardil trial, or at any point during my time on this medication (which may be forever if it works well hahah), will it permanently mess up or otherwise alter the effect of the drug in a bad way? I realize a hangover is obviously natural following a night of boozing, but I don't want to f*** up what could finally be a good med for my mild social anxiety/ worse depression + anxiety with just a bit of partying.
Thanks to any and all who reply, I appreciate it!!
:)
