Well, after a few months of hell-on-earth and dealing with psychosis, I am coming out of exile. I have found an odd combo of meds that seem to help me avoid mania and psychosis. My Doc and I have found the staple of Vyvanse + Zyprexa to keep me level. I of course am on a score of other meds, benzos to take the edge off (I notice I use LESS of these when I am on the Vyvanse.) I am also on a small dose of both Prozac and Cymbalta. Being bipolar, I shouldn't really be on these two a.d.'s, but the DSM sure as heck doesn't seem to take individuality into account. I've tried lithium and Depakote/Epival but only Epival had a small effect, and it really messed with my cognition. Zyprexa 20mg's seems to prevent me from "flying high", and the Vyvanse make's sure my energy and focus are well during the day. I also take clonidine, which is so good for bad dreams/nightmares. I'd love to hear your folk's thoughts on this. Thanks..
