Not to be a nag, but I really would try Feldenkreis. They use massage to relax the tense muscles, then teach you to differentiate between when the muscle is tense and when it is relaxed. If you do this over several sessions (also using the exercises they prescribe), you get so you can identify tension as soon as it begins and relax the muscle yourself. It really retrains your brain to identify tense muscles and control tension. Over the long run, it's much more useful than taking a muscle relaxant, especially an addictive one like valium.
