For the longest time, after my insurance stopped covering the brand name (and, I think, GSK stopped making it), I had to take the generic tranylcypromine from Par Pharmaceuticals. I did notice a slight difference but the drug was still effective.
Today I went to the pharmacy and found out that they'd received the order from Rising Pharmaceuticals but (knowing how I feel about the difference in efficacy of generic drugs) offered to let me research it and fill it partially with the remaining Par tablets.
I did some research right there on my BlackBerry, asked the pharmacist what the tablets looked like and she told me they say "Parnate" on them. It turns out that GSK is manufacturing Parnate for Rising Pharmaceuticals. This is good news, IMHO. Just wanted to let you all know.
