Yeah I take carvedilol (Coreg) 12.5 mg bid. It works alright at lowering my systolic blood pressure. I also take lisinopril 20 mg bid and HCTZ 25 mg. Blood pressure still runs high w/ meds. Heart rate is usually a little elevated. It hovers around 75-90 bpm. No side effects from the bp meds otherwise.
I've taken atenolol and metoprolol in the past w/ success. Clonidine too but I had to discontinue it b/c it made me too drowsy.
I hope you find a med that works w/o side effects.
