In reply to Tegretol/Trileptil for depression not bipolar?, posted by Roslynn on April 8, 2013, at 14:40:54
Hi Roslynn.
I hope that life has been tolerable for you.
> Hi, anyone ever take Tegretol or Tripletil for a diagnosis of depression, not bipolar, and was it effective?

> Any feedback welcomed.I have never heard of either of these two drug being used to treat unipolar depression. However, both drugs have been shown to be effective when treating impulse and anger issues in the absence of bipolar disorder. I would defer to your doctor if he feels that these drugs would help you.
Is there any family history of mental illness? At what age did your depression begin?
