> Hi
> I have been taking Phentermine for a while now and it improves my mood greatly the only problem is it puts my already fast resting pulse rate of 100 up to 120 (I'm a30 year old male) . Is this seriously life threatening or could I possibly keep taking it for a few more months to get my life going?
> I know most of you aren't qualified practitioners and I will ask my psych when he gets back from holidays but in in my the mean time I would greatly appreciate anyone's educated opinion so I don't have a heart attack in the mean time.
> Regards. At your age the most likely negative effect of sustained tachycardia would be that it would contribute to eventual heart failure as you age. How's your BP? If it is on the high side as well get your doc to write for a beta blocker. Atenolol is the most lipophilic of the beta blockers and thus least likely to cause psychiatric side effects.
