In my case it was the muscle relaxant baclofen. Thanks to it, I got to discover what it was like to live normally, but only for a week. At least I know I can get to that place. I just need to find a different way of getting back there, and staying there this time. I think I'll try to join the ketamine trial that's going on all over the US.
Hugh,
I've heard that at high doses, Baclofen is effective for anxiety. It helps depression, too? If you don't mind saying, what were the side effects that made you ditch it?
On another note, there's another doc here in Manhattan that opened a Ketamine clinic for pain and depression. Unlike Dr. Fruitman, he uses the IV route. At $480 an infusion, it's not horribly expensive, but Fruitman is only $250 per IM treatment.
