Hi all-
Here's my current regime:
-Ketamine, 90mg IM injections, once a week
-Lexapro, 20mg
-Saphris, 5mg
-Valium, 10mg prn
-Ambien xr (as needed)
-Deplin
-Vit DI think the Ketamine shots got me out of an acute depressive episode, but I can't say for sure yet whether I'm benefitting long-term. I'm still having cognitive problems (memory loss, attention/concentration issues, etc.), but I hear it's supposed to help with that in the long run. Only time will tell how Ketamine will work for me going forward and on a larger scale.
I had a treatment today and it's the only one for the week. I'll be getting one next week too. After that, I have no idea what the protocol is (once a week or then once every two weeks, etc.)
The outcome? I'm just not sure yet. I guess it served it's purpose in helping me out of my funk. I worry everyday that the other shoe will drop. Hopefully, my other meds will be the safety net I need to get by. I find myself wanting so badly to have a life, to go out, to workout, to meet someone, but I simply can't really *do* anything still. I get up in the morning, go to my doc appts, walk my dog, get coffee and that's about it (on a good day).
I think I might have some rapid cycling as I just started Saphris and had a rough weekend, though yesterday and today I'm fine.
I've also come to realize that I think my depression was caused due to environmental/psychological factors and a low stress threshold. Who knows?
Sorry so long. Just wanted to follow-up for anyone who was interested.
Hope everyone here is doing well.
