Does it feel like your brain is a fraction of a second later turning than your head? Or like thoughts have to slog through the quicksand of your brain?
I tend to feel groggy when intensely stressed. It might be interesting to take your blood sugar. Blood sugar rises in the fight or flight response, which might lead to grogginess if unaccompanied with racing from the fangs of that sabertooth tiger.
My out of the body feelings tend to feel lighter, almost as if my brain were a balloon that had slipped its moorings.
