Yeah, I read years ago of attempts to make an antidepressant medication based on ketamine. I guess that they think they found a way to make it long acting without the nasty adverse effect of making on feel too good.
Ketamine carries a similar stigma to that of LSD. LSD-aided psychotherapy worked great in the early 1960s, but has been shelved until recently because of Tim Leary & his bunch releasing it to the general public without an instruction manual.
