John when I was diagnosed with hashimotos thyroiditis this is when my anxiety hit all time levels and then depression. I later learned that as the thyroid burns itself out it's levels flutuate from high to low. When first went on synthroid it was the lowest does 25mcg. In about l0 days immediately felt better and cut down on benzo use. Was working then. Fast forward thyroid recently tested by endo and TSH is less thatn l. Docs like the thyroid between l-2. In all honestly I feel horrible on the synthroid. But have no way to prove that it's synthroid and not just me. As the endo says freeT3 & free T4 are all perfect. Seems the thyroid controls so much of the body. And how you feel. Phillipa
