It can hold much promise but be wary of possibility of tolerence build up. Also suppossedly dopamine downregulation with long term use. I'm very senitive to meds so my very short trial a month ago w/ concerta had mixed results. I do know it allowed me to be more productive. I just wish it came in a lower dose.
I know it can be helpful as ritalin has been a monumental help for me despite it's large tolerance build up. Even after 5+ years it still does help to some degree. Especially upon giving it a break and trying it up again.
Thus the similar may be true for concerta but due to it's time release may hold up against tolerance better. I will try in the future again. With my current Selegiline 5mg concerta might not be the wisest choice due to inability to reduce minimum dose.
> How would you rate Concerta as an augmenting agent for depression, or rather some of the symptoms of depression, apathy and loss of drive? What are the chances of success? And yes, I've gone through most classes of psychiatric medication.
